Located in the back corner of the Palais Ferstel complex, this grand café has been a popular destination for famous artists, writers and intellectuals in Vienna's history. Today they serve nearly 1000 cups of coffee a day in elegant, cathedral-like surroundings. The dessert cart offers excellent warm Apfelstrudel, thick with sliced apples and cinnamon, and the top pastry still crisp and flaky.
